Development of a Comprehensive Assessment System including Virtual Reality and Machine Learning for Early Dementia Detection

In our globally ageing society, dementia is a leading cause of disabilities in older adults and has a significant impact on our society. Therefore, early detection of dementia is becoming more important. We seek to create a non-invasive, simple, and low-cost early detection system focusing on the comprehensive analysis of gait, body balance, visual functions and the integrating of virtual reality as well as machine learning technologies.
