Curriculum vitae

Julia Seinsche studied physiotherapy at the Fresenius University for Applied Sciences and afterwards received her master’s degree in "Movement and Sport Gerontology" at the German Sport University Cologne. In her master’s thesis she analyzed potential influencing factors of real-life mobility in frail older adults, whereby the analysis was based on the so-called ""Framework of Motility”. After completing her master’s degree by the end of march 2020, Julia started to work as a research assistant in the Institute of Movement and Sport Gerontology continuing research on the topic life-space mobility. In May 2021 she joined the Motor Control and Learning Lab as a doctoral student.

Research interest

Her research interest lies in tele-rehabilitation and in the combination of motor and cognitive training via exergames in older adults. Within the COCARE-project, she is currently validating a home-based training system by Dividat AG which enables the combination of exergames and tele-rehabilitation. The research project is a collaboration with Dividat and two other research sites in Italy and Cyprus.
